Omega-3: ALA - EPA - DHA - Essential fatty acids.

· Essential fatty acids are extremely important for our health. They are the building blocks of phospholipids, which in turn are the building blocks of our cell membranes (the protective layer and the gateways to the cells). They are therefore needed anywhere in the body.

· Essential means our bodies are not capable to create this fatty acid itself.

· An optimal fatty acid balance contributes to healthy cells. Impaired fatty acid balance (too much bad fats: omega-6, trans fatty acids, etc.) causes health problems. Omega-3 fatty acids are necessary to recover the balance with regard to the poor fats in the diet. They are good for circulation and cholesterol levels.

· In addition, they are necessary for the development of the brains and thus support memory, concentration, academic performance and mental fitness in adults. They also play an important role in maintaining the good condition of our skin (eczema, psoriasis) and gut and have a positive effect on inflammatory processes.

· Omega-3 fatty acids along with anti-oxidants and flavonoids have an important role in allergies of the skin, respiratory allergies and hay fever.
